Picking the perfect shade can some times be a bit frustrating . Just when you think things are a going well, it gets tricky. Just when you think you have it. It just isn't the one. You spend all this money on a shade that just won't blend. If this sounds like something you've been through, this is the perfect place to be.

Undertones

Undertones are one of the keys too finding your your perfect foundation. Undertones are the tones found underneath our skin complexions that creates different hues of colors within different skin colors. You want to find out whether your complexion is warm(yellow/red) or cool (blueish/greenish/purple)?or numeral tones ( a blend of or 1 from each). Some people can look into a mirror and notice their undertones, and for some of us it does not come so easily. Some of us have to put in a bit of effort, look down at the inside of your wrist. If they give a blue-idh/greenish color or even an olive tone your look to cool tones foundations. If you look down and notice a yellow or golden tone maybe even a red tone you should be looking for a warm toned foundation. As I said earlier a mixture of 1 or of colors from each group makes you a neutral tone, you can choose either or choose the neutral foundation. This can rules can also apply for finding the perfecting concealer. It's best to get a concealer one two tones lighter than your natural complextion.

Coverage

How much if your skin do you want the foundation to cover? Full coverage or are you a light coverage person ? What's the difference, is one better? Most full coverage foundations are pretty thick in texture. Full coverage is best for full face beats and people who aren't so great with or doesn't have time for color correction. Less coverage is usually used in natural looks and is best for people with acne prone skin. Also try to think about what kind of a finishing look you want to accomplish. Check your skin for blemishes and dark spots, do you need to color correct? You can have the perfect foundation but you not getting the look you want because colors do not cover but they blend. If these marks are bold in color please remember to color correct.

Did you get that undertone and skin tone figure out yet?

After you've figured out your undertone look at the completions closest to yours. Wait don't run off to the counter just yet. My advice to you, always shop for foundations and concealer in stores that allow you to sample first, especially our first timers. Take a nice amount and rub it along your jaw line, walk around a bit go to different areas with different lightening. If the foundation completely disappears in your skin, then BOOM we have a winner. For my rich skinned dolls, your going to match your foundation to your T-zone (for head area nose and mouth) once it blend you've got your go to dolls.
